About Naomi

I am passionate about working with people to help them heal and resolve past trauma and restore their ability to love again. As humans we all experience suffering, and sometimes those negative experiences can impact the way we view ourselves, others, and the world. I have worked with many clients who were able to recover from their past and gain a fresh perspective for the future.

Stressful or traumatic experiences can lead to depression, anxiety, sleep issues, avoidance, and negative thoughts and emotions — including anger, guilt, or shame. Many mental health issues and destructive patterns develop out of difficult or traumatic experiences that have yet to be processed in an adaptive way.

I look forward to connecting with you and providing a safe and judgment-free space for us to work together. Together we can figure out what is getting in the way of moving forward and bring about lasting change once and for all. If you are feeling stuck and ready to start feeling better, please reach out.

Education & Training

I hold a master's degree in professional counseling from Liberty University of Virginia, a program approved by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), which provided me with a contemporary perspective on Christian counseling.

I am experienced and skilled in helping individuals recover from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, phobias, and depression, utilizing:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • The Flash Technique
  • Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy (DNMS)
  • Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral approaches

My Approach

I follow an integrated Christian counseling approach, believing that transformation is possible and that there is a place for spirituality in the process of professional counseling. I love supporting people through empathy and unconditional positive regard, fostering healing and growth.

I see each person as a unique individual and view the therapeutic relationship as the most important aspect of the counseling experience. While I operate from a Christian worldview and enjoy helping people connect with God, I do not impose my beliefs or opinions onto clients — out of genuine care and respect for who you are.

Personal Life

I stay active playing tennis, biking, hiking, and spending time with friends and family, including three grandsons. I dabble in photography and crocheting, and love watching historical fiction films.
