About Me:
I believe each of us carries incredible potential—even when fear, doubt, trauma, depression, or anxiety make it hard to see. Life’s challenges can blur our sense of direction, yet something within us whispers that healing and hope are possible. As a therapist, my role is to help you reconnect with your true identity, rediscover your strengths, and take meaningful steps toward the life you desire—grounded in growth, compassion, and resilience.
My approach is warm, kind, and collaborative, with a touch of fun. Healing can be hard work, but laughter, play, and joy are essential companions along the journey. I draw from evidence-based therapies such as Mindful CBT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and Emotion Regulation Therapy to help you process emotions, make sense of your story, and explore ways of being that align with your values.
As a bilingual therapist, I’m honored to work with clients in both English and Spanish, creating a space where culture and language are embraced as powerful parts of the healing journey.
Education & Experience:
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hope International University in California. Since completing my studies, I have had the privilege of working with children, teenagers, families, and individuals who have experienced complex trauma, abuse, and other challenges, helping them process their experiences and heal.
Through these experiences, I have developed a deep understanding of how life’s challenges—such as anxiety, codependency, relationship difficulties, abuse, and past trauma—impact emotional well-being. My training in evidence-based approaches allows me to tailor therapy to each person’s unique needs, and I am always open to integrating a faith perspective for clients who desire it, creating a safe space for both emotional and spiritual growth.
Philosophy
My therapeutic philosophy is rooted in creating a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space. I believe healing occurs when clients feel seen, heard, and understood. Therapy is a process of discovering strengths, exploring values, and developing practical strategies to navigate life’s challenges. I value laughter, play, and joy as essential components of growth, and I strive to meet each client where they are—honoring both emotional and spiritual development.
Pain and trauma can become the foundation for your greatest growth—and together, we can transform challenges into strength, resilience, and meaningful change. Because ultimately, change is inevitable—and it can be guided, intentional, and life-affirming.
Personal Life
I was born in Colombia, and my parents moved to the United States seeking safety. Starting over taught me resilience—the courage to rebuild, hope again, and find purpose when life changes suddenly. These experiences shaped my deep empathy for others navigating transitions, uncertainty, or past pain.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy reading, hiking, games, teaching at church, and sharing time with my children and our pets, which help me bring warmth, humor, and perspective to my work. Therapy is a space to grow, heal, and rediscover hope, and it is a privilege to walk alongside clients as they transform challenges into strength, resilience, and meaningful change.
