About Me
Each person has a story—and sometimes parts of that story feel overwhelming, confusing, or heavy to carry on your own. You might find yourself feeling stuck in anxious thoughts, weighed down by depression, or struggling to navigate relationships, transitions, or past experiences that continue to impact your present.
At times, it can feel like you’re just trying to get through the day—managing stress, overthinking, or feeling disconnected from yourself or others. If that’s where you are, you’re not alone—and there is hope.
We all need support, and sometimes we need a space that is fully our own to slow down, process, and make sense of what we’re experiencing. Therapy can be that space. While it does take courage and effort to face difficult thoughts and emotions, it can also lead to meaningful growth, healing, and a deeper sense of clarity and stability.
I consider it a privilege to walk alongside you in this part of your journey. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel understood, challenged in helpful ways, and able to move toward lasting change. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to connect with you.
Education & Experience:
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling from Eastern Mennonite University and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwest University.
My clinical experience includes working with children, teens, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. I have supported teens struggling with suicidal thoughts and self-harming behaviors, as well as individuals experiencing high levels of emotional distress and crisis.
I also have experience working with adults facing overwhelming life circumstances, helping them stabilize, process their experiences, and begin moving toward a greater sense of control and direction.
As a Registered Counselor Associate, I am currently under supervision from Rachel Ferguson, LPC.
Philosophy & Approach:
I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and that meaningful change happens when you feel both supported and understood.
My goal is to help you move toward greater emotional stability, self-awareness, and confidence in how you navigate your life and relationships. Whether you’re working through anxiety, past trauma, or current stressors, we will work together to understand what’s happening beneath the surface and develop practical ways to move forward.
I take a holistic, strengths-based approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Client-Centered Therapy. This means we’ll look at how your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and environment are all connected—while also recognizing your existing strengths and capacity for growth.
I also value understanding the full context of who you are, including your background, relationships, culture, and faith (if that’s important to you), as these all play a role in shaping your experiences.
Personal Life:
I enjoy starting my mornings with a good cup of coffee. Outside of work, I spend much of my time with my family—whether that’s taking my kids to their activities, going for walks with our dog, or relaxing together watching shows like Survivor.
I also enjoy reading, painting, and trying new foods—especially when it involves sharing those experiences with others.
