What It's Like To Work at Life Discovery Counseling

At Life Discovery Counseling, we aim to provide an environment that supports and encourages work-life balance, mutual respect, collaboration, and trust among all staff members. We are an office with no drama, a lot of laughter, and supportive relationships.

As clinicians, we provide high-quality therapy for our clients while treating them with respect and tailoring treatment to each individual's needs.

Full-Time Therapist

We welcome applications for therapists who have an interest in one or more of our specialties (browse around our website for more insight into what those are). We also welcome applicants who bring their own specialty or who have specific, advanced training in a specific treatment modality.

Requirements:

1)      Provisionally or fully licensed LPC, LMFT, or LCSW, Oregon licensure

2)      Maintain a weekly caseload of 24+ sessions/week

3)      Manage your own caseload and complete clinical paperwork

4)      Attend monthly staff meeting

5)      Ability to work in-person (required) and tele-health (optional)

This is a W-2 position with competitive pay ($60-$70/hour, based on experience and specialty). Benefits include PTO, retirement benefits, and a training stipend. As the practice grows, additional benefits will be offered.  In-house supervision is provided for provisionally licensed counselors.

Expectations of therapists are to provide therapy, maintain clinical files in a timely manner, network within the community, and attend staff meetings and supervisions as necessary.

Currently, Life Discovery Counseling offers in-person and tele-health sessions. Life Discovery Counseling accepts cash-paying clients and accepts many health insurances. Note that it takes 30-90 days to become credentialed with insurance companies, during which time you will not be able to accept insurance as an in-network provider (you can still bill out-of-network if the client has those benefits, or accept cash-paying clients).

Life Discovery Counseling prides itself on offering the best for each client. The practice aims to be a place for work-life balance, mutual respect, collaboration, and trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a therapist who is interested in leaving behind an overwhelmingly large caseload; who feels disconnected or alone in your current mental health position; who feels encumbered by the amount of paperwork expected in your current role; or feels like administrative meetings and extra tasks are preventing you from doing the work you love: therapy!

Life Discovery Counseling is looking for candidates who are interested in participating in dynamic growth, a commitment to building a weekly caseload of 24+ clients, and the ability to be self-motivated.

Additionally, we are looking for professionals who enjoy being part of a team and who seek the space and opportunity to be creative in their work.

To apply for this position, please send your resume with a cover letter to: nathan@lifedcs.com and  support@lifedcs.com.
